Where can I look up parcel maps for Texas land?

TexasReviewed October 2026

Start with the county appraisal district, which keeps parcel maps, owner names, acreage and tax values; the Texas Comptroller's county directory lists every appraisal district's contact information. For statewide data, the Texas Geographic Information Office (TxGIO) compiles appraisal district parcel boundaries and offers them free through its DataHub, though downloads need GIS software and not every county is included. These parcel lines are not survey-grade and should not be used for legal purposes, so rely on a licensed surveyor for exact boundaries. Pair parcel maps with FEMA flood maps and city ETJ maps to screen a property quickly.
